Julia is a versatile artist who thrives at the intersection of movement, performance, choreography, and filmmaking. Originally from the Bay Area, California, Julia relocated to Brooklyn, NY after graduating with honors from the Peabody Conservatory as part of their inaugural class where she pursued a unique double major of BFA in Dance and BA in Natural Science with a concentration in Mathematics and Neuroscience.
This interdisciplinary approach to education not only reflects Julia’s intellectual curiosity but also informs her artistry, lending depth and complexity to her work. Upon completing her education, Julia has had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of choreographers and dance companies. She is currently working with Abarukas, Petra Zanki, Yaroque Dance Theater and Khalid Dance Collective. For her, movement is not just a medium of expression; it’s a realm of endless curiosity and boundless play. She revels in the joy of exploration and the freedom that movement offers, allowing her to push boundaries and challenge conventions in her creative work, reflecting a deep passion for the limitless possibilities of movement.
